LIVOXIL
A high potency combination of powerful liver toning herbs for complete liver care. LIVOXIL is used as tonic, to aid detoxification of liver, protects it from harmful effects of liquor and helps in digestion, in the treatment of jaundice or to simply improve the well being.
In Ayurvedic tradition, the psychosomatic view of the human being sees the body organs and systems as a unit, and the digestive tract and functions as being of highest importance to health.
The liver has a whole battery of functions, including: the formation and excretion of bile, which is necessary for digestion; keeping certain nutrients and fuel ready for the body to use, such as carbohydrates and lipids; manufacturing plasma proteins; activating specific vitamins; activating and deactivating body hormones; and detoxifying drug, chemical, and biological poisons, or toxins, that invade our body every day along with air, water, and food.
How it works ?
In Alcohol toxicity: Boerhaavia diffusa in LIVOXIL protects from hepatotoxic action of country made liquor as evidenced by changes in serum alanine aminotransferase, Triglycerides, Cholesterol and total lipid levels in both serum and tissues. Histopathological studies showed marked reduction in fat deposits in liver receiving B. diffusa along with liquor.1
In Hepatitis B: Phyllanthus amarus in Livoxil may block the spread (proliferation) of the virus by directly blocking, or preventing, replication of the virus' genetic material. (James J. Gormley, 1996)
In prevention of liver damage: Kupffer cells are major determinants of outcome of liver injury. Their activity was therefore studied in a model of chronic liver disease. The effect of Tinospora cordifolia resulted in a significant improvement in Kupffer cell function and a trend towards normalization.2
Some of the ingredients of LIVOXIL & Evidences :
1. Boerhaavia diffusa in LIVOXIL protected from hepatotoxic action of country made liquor (C. M. L.) as evidenced by changes in serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT), Triglycerides (TG), Cholesterol and total lipid levels in both serum and tissues. Histopathological studies showed marked reduction in fat deposits in animals receiving B. diffusa along with C. M. L.1
Hepatoprotective property of Boerhavia diffusa in LIVOXIL has been investigated and confirmed by different research workers.3-6
2. Phyllanthus amarus in LIVOXIL is has been highly valued in a number of countries "for its curative properties; in India the plant is often used by traditional medical practitioners for a variety of ailments, including injury to the liver. 7
Phyllanthus amarus in LIVOXIL resulted in 54-59 % of the hepatitis B carriers lost their carrier status, which essentially meant that they no longer carried the disease. 8-11
3. Tinospora cordifolia (Guduchi) in LIVOXIL has anti-spasmodic, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, hepatoprotective, immunomodulatory and anti-neoplastic activities. 12
Tinospora cordifolia in LIVOXIL has been shown to decrease the fibrosis in reversible and irreversible liver injuries. 13
The antifibrotic effect of Tinospora cordifolia in LIVOXIL was found to preserve the liver architecture as judged by histopathology and hydroxyproline content of liver.
