Gloss White
GLOSS WHITE is a companion product to light ALUMINA HYDRATE. The use of GLOSS WHITE as a dry pigment powder has also been confined mainly to PAPER & INK applications. Gloss white is valued for its soft, non abrasive texture and its excellent working and printing properties. It is less susceptible to "Livering" than light ALUMINA HYDRATE .
Although GLOSS WHITE is more expensive than a mechanical blend of 3BaSo4/Al(OH)3, the coprecipitate is favored on the basis of superior processing characteristics and reduced tendency to absorb drier from ink vechicles on storage.
