The frequency relays are used for protection of sensitive equipment due to under or over frequency when the equipment is being supplied from a source whose frequency may be erratic. Can be used for tripping in case frequency goes above limit. A lower or higher than limit condition if persisting for more than 1 or 2 sec a contact changeover occurs and an LED on facia glows to indicate a trip condition. This can be used to trip the breaker/ supply. Two sets of changeover contacts are available.
