FerroCom Powder

(Bio-efficient Natural
Iron Supplement)

FerroCom is a
herbo-mineral supplement developed after extensive research, to
prevent and help early recovery from anaemia in piglets and other
animals. FerroCom is prepared by complexing ferrous iron (Fe2+) and
naturally occurring dimeric and oligomeric-dibenzo-alpha-pyrone with
small molecular weight herbal gallo-tannoids, which maintains iron in
the ferrous state as only ferrous iron is utilized in the synthesis
of haemoglobin. This combination saturates the iron coordinating
sites of herbo-mineral complex thereby eliminating the risk of
Haberweiss-Fenton reaction which is observed with other oral iron
preparations leading to G.I. complications. FerroCom easily
releases the iron to iron hungry receptors and captures the ferric
iron (Fe3+), let loose by the system for further complexation. The
reducing property of the FerroCom complex, through the polyphenol
moieties causes reduction of Fe3+ to Fe2+, systemically, resulting in
mobilization and functionalization (e.g. attachment to haemoglobin)
of systemic iron. Therefore FerroCom is found to be very effective
in the cases of macro-chromatic anaemia or where animals have low
levels of Hb inspite of high levels of iron in serum.

FerroCom uniquely ensures
sustained release, optimum absorption and high bioavailability of
iron with quick rise in haemoglobin comparable to parentral iron
therapy. FerroCom is safe for prolonged use in all age groups,
gentle on the gut and does not cause constipation, mucosal damage or
gastric irritation. FerroCom is well tolerated even by the animals
who do not tolerate any other iron therapy with improvement in %
saturation of iron binding protein. FerroCom optimises saturation
of body iron stores by decreasing total iron binding capacity, even
in the animals with apparently normal haemoglobin.

USAGE :

FerroCom is also available
in syrup form for pets and piglets etc., as FerroCom syrup. The
individual feeding rate of FerroCom syrup is recommended as :
