Specification: FERMENTATION : The continuous fermentation is proven as well as the latest technology as compared to old batch fermentation. It offers various advantages like operation continuity, ease of operation and higher efficiency. Also, the continuous fermentation ensures consistent performance over a long time period as compared to the technology of old batch fermentation. MULTI PRESSURE VACUUM DISTILLATION : Vacuum distillation offers many advantages over traditional distillation atmospheric distillation plants. The Vacuum distillation requires lower energy requirement, and offer good quality alcohol and less distillation trays scaling due to sludge. It produces international quality standard ethanol and there is a huge demand of ethanol in the global market, produced from the process of vacuum distillation.ENA processed from this latest technology meet global quality standards for ethanol like British, US and Japanese standards. The vacuum distillation requires about 50 % less steam than the old distillation technology, and it consists of distillation columns. Both the distillation and fermentation are operated with DCS controls system. This will assist in maintaining the parameters in a consistent and hassle-free manner. And most latest distillery plants use computer system for controlling the parameters DEHYDRATION TECHNOLOGY :Molecular sieve technology performs on the pressure swing adsorption principle. Here water is eliminated by adsorbing on the surface of Molecular Sieves, and then cyclically removing it under various steaming conditions. The Molecular sieves are synthetic Zeolite, typically 3A Zeolite. The Zeolites are synthetic crystalline Aluminosilicates, and have strong water affinity. They adsorb the water when pressurized / heated and desorb the water in cold condition (under vacuum). This principle is used to dehydrate the ethanol. Zeolite has a crystalline structure, which is complex and provides this material the ability to reject or adsorb material based on molecular sizes. Molecule of water can enter the sieve and be adsorbed, but larger molecule of alcohol can not be retained and can go through the bed. Also, there can be 2-3 beds in parallel. When a particular bed is water saturated, it is steam heated so that adsorbed water can be desorbed from the bed. Till the time other bed is used for the dehydration. This kind of system is characterized by a high capital investment, and there is low power consumption as well as low steam consumption as compared to the distillation process. Molecular sieves have high attrition rates in case of small plants, which is the only disadvantage with this. Hence, there is a periodic replacement need for some amount of sieve material, thereby higher production cost in case of small capacity plant. For large capacity plants, the Molecular Sieve is the best in terms of initial investment as well as operating cost. Total unit is managed with the DCS computer controls system, and this helps in maintaining the parameters in consistent way, without any fluctuations. This common method is used in the modern distillery plants for controlling the parameters.
