Dbnpa - Fast-acting Broad Spectrum Biocide Powder, Antimicrobial Control For Industrial Water Systems

DBNPA is the common name for 2,2-dibromo-3-nitrilopropionamide. It is a fast-acting, broad spectrum biocide for industrial use. DBNPA is a white to yellow powder with a mild, medicinal antiseptic odor. DBNPA is formulated into liquid concentrates, powders, and timerelease tablets depending on intended use. In water, DBNPAa s antimicrobial activity is nearly instantaneous, followed by rapid decomposition to carbon dioxide, ammonia, and bromide ion. DBNPA is effective against coliform bacteria; slime-forming and odor-causing algae; general bacteria and fungi (mold, mildew, and yeasts); and sulfide-producing bacteria.
