Bowie Dick Indicator Strips

The indicator strip is placed within the Verify All-In-One Steam reusable Test Pack. When exposed to air removal test cycle, air is removed from the test pack and steam penetrates the chamber. The steam penetrates the polypropylene cover of the indicator strip contacting the steam sensitive chemistry within. Exposure to steam lowers the melting point of the specially formulated chemistry and as the chemistry melts, it soaks into the wicking paper and runs up the strip, turning it dark. The rate at which the line moves has been specifically designed to mimic the performance of an ANSI/AAMI ST79 Bowie and Dick Test Pack.
