BAG HOUSE:

PURPOSE: Used to filter fine suspended particles from the gas stream so as to meet the standards required.

FUNCTIONING: Bag House is a Filtration Device, which In the present case, is the final control equipment and is based on Pulse Jet Technology. Gases laden with fine dust are introduced into the hopper of the Bag House, which is attached with the Middle Part (or containment unit) fitted with Filter Bags and Cages. The outlet for the Gases is at the top part of the Bag House, which is insulated from the containment unit such that the gases have to pass through the filter bags to escape from the Bag House. Enough pressure is maintained in the system by the I. D. Fan provided, so as to suck the gases through. While clean air passes through the Filter Element, Fine Dust particles get stuck to the Cloth. These are periodically cleaned through Solenoid Valves (which are electronically controlled), through gust of compressed air rushed into the bags from the opposite direction (i.e. inside). Bags swell and the dust cake automatically falls within the hopper from where it is mechanically removed through a rotary valve.
