The Acecel brand of MCC is produced through Air Stream drying. The two most common grades in this category are Accel Chemical 101 and Acecel 102. Acecel 101 is one among the most common grades of MCC, which is slightly fine in nature. This grade is Air Stream dried and pulverized to attain the desired physical properties. The average particle size varies from 50 to 60 microns, with a bulk density of 0.26 to 0.31(or as desired by the customer). The grade is well suited for wet granulation, roller compaction and spheronisation. This grade is characterized by very high compactivity. Acecel 102 is a medium particle size standand Mcc grade. This grade is bulk dried or air stream dried and subsequently pulverized to attain the desired particle size. The average particle size varies around 100 microns, with a bulk density of 0.28 to 0.33. This grade is most suited for directly compressible actives.
