| प्रॉपर्टीज़ | MOTS-C (Mitochondria-derived peptide MOTS-C) is a short peptide encoded by mitochondrial genes with multiple biological properties and functions. Biological Properties: MOTS-C is a 16-amino acid short peptide encoded by mitochondrial 12S rRNA, which has a cytoprotective effect. It activates the AMPK (adenosine activated protein kinase) pathway, increases the number of glucose transporters on the cell membrane surface, promotes cellular glucose uptake, and reduces lipid droplet deposition. In addition, MOTS-C also has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, can inhibit the production of inflammatory mediators, reduce oxidative stress, and provide new strategies for the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Biological Functions: 1) Metabolic regulation: MOTS-C regulates cell metabolism, promotes fatty acid oxidation, and maintains energy balance by activating AMPK. It can also reduce lipid droplet deposition, increase the activation of brown fat with faster metabolism, and reduce the accumulation of white fat with slower metabolism by inhibiting the synthesis of adipocyte-related genes. 2) Anti-inflammatory and antioxidant : MOTS-C exhibits strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, can inhibit the production of inflammatory mediators, reduce oxidative stress, and has a preventive and therapeutic effect on chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes. 3) Cytoprotection : MOTS-C has a cytoprotective effect, can maintain cell homeostasis under metabolic stress conditions, and help cells adapt to damaged homeostasis . |
