About Us

Universal Wire Forms, an ISO 9001:2000 certified company, established
in the year 1991, is joining the globe in an upbeat mood. This
Pollyannaish attitude sets the company apart from others as a leading
and acknowledged manufacturer and exporter of spring
steel sheet metal fasteners like clips, clamps, U clips, speed nuts,
palnuts, thrust washers, Belleville washers, lock pins and other custom
made sheet metal fasteners for the automobile and allied
industries. We have approximately 700 types of products in our
anthology, which we export to USA, Europe and Latin America. Our
products are sourced mainly to automobile OEMs/tier 1/tier 2 in India.



Majority of our components are produced using progressive tools that
give us a high degree of accuracy. To sustain this
accuracy, we have fully-equipped laboratory consisting of
the following equipments: Hardness tester, Metallurgical microscope (400X
magnification), Profile projector, DFT meter for checking of microns
after plating, Dial verniers, Micrometers, and Height gauges. In addition
to our state of the art laboratory, our tool room is equipped with
machinery like heavy duty lathe, hydraulic surface grinder, high
precision drill machines, etc.

• Full fledged press line with presses ranging from
  5 tonnes to 75 tonnes. Some of our presses are fully unmanned producing
  up to 100,000 pieces per day using progressive tools
• We have a fully automatic quench mesh belt heat treatment furnace with oil quenching for heat treatment
• Our raw material input is high and medium carbon steel strips which are procured from well known sources
• Our production cycle is completed with several
  surface treatment facilities like zinc plating (chrome 6 free, i.e,
  trivalent), blackodising, phosphating, etc.
• We also have an in-house facility for hydrogen de-embrittlement, which is required for the post-plating operation
• Our tools are designed using the latest 2D and 3D softwares. EDM wirecut machines, laser cut machines and EDM drill
  machines are at our disposal.
