About Us

The company was established by Late Mr Manilal Vrajdas Shah, initially known as Union Drug & Pharmaceutical Company. Back then, company dealt in drugs and pharmaceutical products. Later, Late Mr Karsandas Manilal Shah took charge of the company and started expanding it into chemicals. The company office situated at Princess Street (Kalbadevi), became a landmark due to its immense popularity. The company is still quite well known as ‘Union Drug’ in and around Princess Street, Vadgadi and Kalbadevi area. In 1980s, Mr Jayendrakumar Karsandas Shah, also known as Janak Shah (current proprietor), joined the family business. Following his father’s footstep, he further expanded the business in chemical sector. Later, Union Drug & Pharmaceutical Company was changed to Union Drug & Chemical Company which dealt solely in chemicals. Mr Mihir Jayendrakumar Shah, became the fourth generation to join the family business. Having a Master’s degree in Finance from UK, he has taken the responsibility of expanding the business even further through ecommerce.
