Shalini Exports

Established in 1997 Shalini Exports is a much preferred exporter and manufacturer of Carpets & Rugs. Its beautiful handmade carpet collections are based around centuries old Turkish & Persian
designs including Ushak, Mamluk, Damascus, Alcaraj and Lotto. The
Collection is a perfect blend of 'old' and 'new'. Traditional weaving
methods and hand-carded wool combined with top quality dyes is used to
create these wonderful carpets. The muted antique look and feel is
produced by 'vegetable washing' with natural herbs and water. However,
after washing the carpets will maintain their appearance (no further
fading) due to the use of top quality colourfast Swiss dyes.

Both
Persian or Turkish style of knotting and the superior quality of raw
materials ensures that the rugs get better with use. Natural dyes by
techniques using berries, plants, fruit, bark, fungi and in some rare
pieces - crushed insects allows for colours that not only stay fast but
give a pleasing harmonious effect unequalled by chemical dyes.
