Q. Why N95 mask is called N95?

The ‘N’ denotes “‘Not’ resistance to oil” wherein ‘95’ denotes its air filtration efficiency. In a nutshell, an N95 mask is a face mask that filters airborne particulates of size 0.3 microns but only in the absence of oil particles (that’s why it has ‘N’).
