Q. What is the use of exothermic sleeves?

Exothermic sleeves are placed inside a feeder used in a metal casting mould. The insulating sleeves extend the solidification time duration of the feeder; a feeder is required to cool after the metal casting cools to prevent cavities in castings. So increasing the solidification durable of feeder helps to produce precise iron castings.
