Q. What is the procedure for collecting blood from a patient?
Answer
During the usual procedure of collecting blood using an evacuated blood collection tube including a needle holder where a needle assembles with a telescoping shield and thereby extends from a beginning retracted position to a venipuncture partly expanded position is used. Once the treatment is finished and the needle is withdrawn from the patient, the shield is then extended to a full extension and secure position over the needle's distal end. It makes it safe and prevents needle-related injuries.
