The weight of the crystal glass product will always be greater owing to the lead content; this will be the case even when comparing two pieces that are otherwise equal. Because crystal is so delicate and its production requires a high level of accuracy consumers should always be prepared to pay a premium price for the items they purchase. Even the amount of money that must be spent to get the goods may be taken into consideration as a potential sign of the crystal's genuineness.
