Q. What is the difference between flexible coupling and rigid coupling?
Answer
A flexible coupling has misalignment absorption capability and hence provides flexible connection between two shafts that are slightly misaligned. On the other hand a rigid coupling connects two shafts solidly that they operate as a single shaft.
