Q. What is the difference between a ball screw and a lead screw?
Answer
A ball screw includes recirculating ball bearings to eliminate sliding friction that is an issue in conventional lead screw assembly. Due to the recirculating motion within the ball screw it reduces friction and provides high precision and accuracy as compared to its counterpart.
