Q. What is a sublimation machine, and how does it work?
Answer
A sublimation machine is a printing machine that prints onto a surface or a fabric material, using heat and ink. Like in the process of sublimation, the solid changes to vapor when heated, and returns to being solid when cooled, here too this technique is used. Thus, it eliminates the entire process of having liquid in the process. In this process, heat is effectively employed to fuse ink and cloth. A design is first reproduced onto unique paper. When heated, the inks absorb the heat and are transformed into gases. These gases mingle with the fabric to leave a permanent imprint. This kind of printing ensures that there is little to no fading of the ink. Sublimation printing ensures that the quality of the print remains for a long time, and by eliminating any liquid in the process of printing, it also ensures sharper and crisper print on the fabric.
