Q. What is a pull cord switch made of?
Answer
Nylon is used for a few pull-cord switches. There is a handle for securing the rope, and the ends of the handle are made from spring steel rings. Sometimes the initial pull or even the second or third, on a nylon pull cord is not enough to get the engine going. When one of these nylon starter cables wears out or breaks, the engine and the tool or vehicle it is attached to are rendered useless.
