Basin mixer taps comes with two knobs. One is for drawing hot water and one is for cold water. It is called mixer tap because users can open both the taps at the same time to get a mix of both hot and cold water. This type of tap is good for winter season in which hot water is needed. But if the water becomes very hot in the geyser users can automatically mix cold water to make the resultant water comfortable to use.
