Filter media can be categorized into flexible & inflexible. Flexible filter media include metallic & non-metallic barriers like perforated sheets/screens made of silver, nickel, copper, steel, non-woven fabric or cloth. Inflexible barriers include slabs, rigid disks, beds of sand, stone, clay, coal and charcoal etc.
