Though Kanjivaram and Banarasi sarees look alike they are not the same. The difference lies in the origin of the sarees and their designs and it is very hard to spot the difference at the first glance.Kanjivaram sarees are weaved with a golden thread all over. Whereas Banarasi sarees are weaved with a mix of golden and silver thread to create the Zari work.
