Q. Is a propane grill the same as a gas grill?
Answer
Even though propane has more than double the BTU power of natural gas, gas grills are intended to let in less propane because of its higher flammability. All gas is squirted out of tiny holes on the burner's front, where it combines with air to create a roaring blaze. Propane orifice apertures are noticeably smaller than natural gas orifice holes. Imagine a buyer decided to buy a propane grill, but then a buyer had a change of heart and decided a buyer wanted to switch to natural gas. In that case, a buyer will need to swap out the burner tubes, swap out the valve manifold, and upgrade to a longer hose if a buyer wants to convert the grill to a new fuel type.
