TC or thread count can be defined as the number of threads that are woven together in a vertical as well as horizontal orientation per square inch of fabric. It tells us how “fine” the fabric texture is. A higher thread count means a better quality fabric which is softer and has a finer texture. “Basic quality” bed linen has a 132 to 144 thread count. A 144TC bedsheet is lightweight comfortable durable breathable easy to care and well-suited to the Indian climate. A 144TC bed sheet does not fall under good quality bed linen; it is just a basic range. As “good quality” starts at 180 to 220 thread count.
