Q. How should frozen chicken be cooked?
Answer
Yes meat products may be cooked directly from frozen but you need to make sure the meat is completely cooked through before you serve it. In order to kill any potentially dangerous germs the internal temperature of the meat has to rise to at least 70 degrees Celsius for a period of at least two minutes. It is recommended that you cut the meat into slices or dice before freezing it so that it may be cooked evenly throughout. There are a lot of grocery stores that offer bags of chicken or beef that has already been diced and these bags may be placed right from the freezer into your wok or frying pan.
