Q. How precise is a vein finder?

Answer

Incredibly precise in other words. Veins less than 0.47 inches deep are visible (12mm). Vein Viewer's viewing depth is up to 10mm for peripheral veins and 15mm for blood patterns thus arteries that are within those ranges can be observed. The thickness of the artery prevents the projected image from showing the artery in many cases. The subcutaneous vein fat cells arteries and nerves can all be reached by light with a wavelength between 740 and 940 nm which can go through around 5 mm of skin tissue.
