Q. How is check fabric made?
Answer
Warp yarns are threaded longitudinally through a cloth and coiled onto a loom. A weaver inserts the weft threads one at a time, crosswise across the cloth. At right angles to one other, the two yarn systems interlace. The weaving technique is the same whether a human sits at a loom or a mechanical loom.
