Q. How is Amikacin Injection administered?
Answer
Amikacin is injected into a muscle or into
a vein through an IV. It is highly recommended not to mix Amikacin with other
medicines in a syringe or IV bag. The injection has to be injected every 8 or
12 hours (two or three times a day) and if it is being injected intravenously
it should be injected slowly over a period of 30 to 60 minutes.
