A signal transmitter produces radio waves, containing data, which is sent to the antenna so they can travel miles to reach the antenna of a radio receiver for output. It is capable of transmitting audio, video, digital and wireless signals; and, used in cordless phones, TV broadcasting, walkie-talkies, internet networks, etc.
