A dry free-flowing and homogenous sample is slowly and evenly fed by a hopper bucket or a pan at the centre of the device. The material flows alternately through the arranged passages in the opposition direction (chutes of same size) where the sample is divided and collected into two collecting pans affixed underneath the dividing head outlets.
