A hammer mill is a steel drum consisting of hammers fixed on a central rotating shaft. When a material to be milled enter the hammer mill the hammers start to banging repeatedly against the materials while rotate at a speed of 2500 to 6000 rpm crushing the material into a uniform small size based on the mill screen.
