Here are the ways:- To empty the hot and cold water lines turn off the main water valve.- To prevent distorting the soft copper tighten the cutter slightly after each turn around the tube.- Keep the P-trap elbow attached parallel to the pipe with the vertical end of the trap centered on the dot.- Finish up the copper ends of the supply lines by buffing them with sandpaper. Sprinkle flux down the line.- Remove any debris from the drain hole in the basin and lower the pop-up drain into the hole.
