Q. How do micro hydro turbines function?

An intake structure resists debris & pass water through a pressurized pipeline to a powerhouse area containing turbine. The turbine converts pressure & flow of water into mechanical energy & returns water back to its source. The turbine turns an alternator/generator that converts the mechanical energy into electricity that is supplied to a community.
