Q. How do jaw couplings work?
Answer
Jaw couplings are composed of: an elastomer insert (spider) and two metallic hubs. The lobes of spider cling onto the jaw from the driving hub and driven hub. The torque is transmitted through the lobes of spider in compression between hubs.
