Q. Can I use cat 7 cables for the internet?
Answer
Yes you can use a CAT 7 cable for the internet. CAT 7 like the previous CAT 5 or Cat 6 cables are primarily used for home LAN connections and they depend on twisted cable pairs present inside the main cable. The idea is to balance out the magnetic effects of current-carrying conductors by ensuring that while in one wire the current moves in the forward direction then in the other wire of twisted cable the current is in opposite direction. Therefore magnetic effects are canceled and the data can be carried for a longer distance. Earlier when network cables were unshielded there used to be a lot of data loss due to this.
