Q. Can a brake motor be connected to a power source?
Answer
There are two types of brake motors available from many motor manufacturers. One version includes a brake that is internally connected to the motor leads. As a result, separate power sources for brakes and motors are not possible. With these motors, only across-the-line or full-voltage motor control should be used.
