Company Preface

Organic certification addresses a
growing worldwide demand for organic food. Certification was not so
mandatory in the early days, as it is today, because more and more
consumers are purchasing organic food through traditional channels
like supermarkets, etc. In order to avoid fraudulence, consumers rely
on a system of standard certification. Ecocert India Pvt. Ltd. is
a regulatory body that provides certification for Food, Non-food produce and the Processed Products there of as per Organic, Globalgap and Fair Trade Standards. Started in June
2002, we, hold a strong position in almost 80 countries of the world
by providing certification and inspection services to ensure
environment safety.

Incorporated under the leadership and
guidance of our Founder, Late Dr. Alexander Daniel, we maintain one
of the most consumer recognized and trusted seals in the organic
marketplace. Influenced by his passion, who had served the
International Federation of Agricultural Movements (IFOAM), we
believe to render reliable and affordable inspection and
certification services in safe and sustainable food and agricultural
production sectors by establishing a fully accredited Indian
certification programme. Since our inception, we have certified over
three hundred thousand hectares of land for over 200 clients
constituting processors, exporters, farmers groups and individual
farmers.

Our principle objective is the
promotion of the India Organic logo in the international markets and
the Agmark India Organic logo in the Indian markets while giving
recognition to organic produce from India. Our regular audits and
the accreditation agencies have helped us in sustaining the faith of our
valued clients.
