Incorporated in 1939 as Dhrangadhra Chemical Works Limited DCW has expanded and modernized its operations. Today DCW supplies chemicals to customers in both domestic and international markets.

DCW has a strong presence in business segments such as Chlor-Alkali Synthetic Rutile and PVC.

Chemical products manufactured:
- Sodium Bicarbonate Soda Ash & Ammonium Bicarbonate (manufactured from its plant in Dhrangadhra Gujarat)
- Caustic Soda Hydrochloric Acid Liquid Chlorine Beneficiated ilmenite Yellow Iron Oxide Trichloroethylene Ferric Chloride Utox and PVC (manufactured from its plant in Sahupuram Tamil Nadu)

The Company produces 150000+ MT per annum of industrial salt (captive consumption). It also runs a 36-MW Captive Power Plant and a 58.3MW coal-based Cogeneration Plant.
