Commercial cultivation of cashew nut is
taken up in eight states of India which are: Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Karnataka,
Kerala, Maharashtra, Orissa, Tamilnadu and West Bengal. However in the recent
years, cashew nuts are being cultivated in few pockets of Assam, Chhattisgarh,
Gujarat, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura.
