Punjab Basmati 2 a Punjabi Basmati 2 variety is about 125 cm tall and processes extra long slender grain. It is known for excellent cooking and eating characteristics. This variety has a strong scent that can be smelled from a fair distance. The grain becomes double in size upon cooking, and they are soft to eat and are non-sticky. This basmati variety takes about 140 days to mature post seeding and yields an average of 12.6 quintals paddy per acre.

Basmati 386 a the crop of Basmati 386 is around 180 cm tall. Its yield is good under medium fertility conditions. It has an extra-long grain with sharp aroma. Upon cooking the grain size almost doubles up and the rice is non-sticky and soft in eating. The cultivation period for this variety is 155 days and the average yield per acre is 9 quintal paddy.

Super Basmati a Super Basmati variety is about 113 cm tall. It is best cultivated under medium fertility environment. It boasts of very long, super fine grains having remarkable cooking quality and sharp aroma. The paddy matures in 145 days and gives an average yield of 14 quintal of paddy per acre. Basmati 370 a Basmati 370 requires average fertility soil to cultivate. The grains are long, superfine and highly aromatic. Upon cooking the grain increases to almost double its size. Upon cooking, the rice becomes soft and non-sticky. For maturing, this basmati variety takes about 150 days. The average yield per acre is 12 quintal of paddy.

Pusa Basmati No. 1 a This variety is about 100 cm tall and gives maximum yield under high fertility conditions. The texture of the grain is super fine and non-sticky when cooked. It becomes soft upon cooking and exudes mild aroma. It takes about 140 days to mature and the yield is 16 quintals paddy per acre.

Pusa Basmati 1121 a Pusa Basmati 1121 is famous for longest cooked rice among all the aromatic varieties of rice. The grains are extra long with slender appearance. The crop size is about 120 cm tall. It is soft in eating and exudes remarkable aroma. The basmati variety matures in about 137 days and yields 13.7 quintal paddy per acre.
