Ortinims Syrups

Description :It is an analgesic and antipyretic in action, apart from its anti inflammatory action. Unlike other NSAIDi? s, the chemical structure of nimesulide does not contain a carboxylic group but a sulfonanilide moiety as the acidic group. It is absorbed rapidly and completely after oral administration. It acts by inhibiting the release of tumour necrosis factor-alpha, acts as a competitive inhibitor of histamine release and reduces superoxide anion formation.
Composition :

TAB.ORTINIMS
Each Uncoated tablet contains: Nimesulide 100 mg.

ORTINIMS SUSPENSION
Each 5ml. Contains :Nimesulide 50 mg. In a flavoured syrupy base.

Colour : Tartrazine Yellow.
Indications :Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, other degenerative joint disorders, musculoskeletal disorders, low back pain, dysmenorrhoea, gynecological conditions, thrombophlebitis dental pain and in ENT inflammation.
Dosage Adults: 100mg twice daily Children: 5mg/kg/day in 2 or 3 divided doses.
