The tablets are fed into the perforated tray directly from tablet press. Once the tablets are fed into the tray, they are vibrated as they move up along the spiral path. The perforated plate turns and rotates along the outer peripheries. After reaching the top of the machine, the tablets are collected into a basket through a corrugated pipe into a container.

Following the processes in both types of dedusting machine, the dust is removed from the surface and edges of tablets. The dust is then collected using an extraction system with the help of a hose pipe spigot and the tablets are collected into a basket.
