The winches employed for lifting these cranes should be equipped with ratchet stops
The wire ropes used for erection must be tear resistant and very sturdy
Some personnel safety rules, such as the use of flag barriers, no unauthorized entry, wearing proper safety gear etc. should be kept in mind for the safety of people involved in erecting the crane.
