An AutomaticAutoclave is a machine that is used to sterilize the objects and equipment
through the use of steam pressure for about 15 to 20 minutes. This machine is
used in different industries such as medical, laboratory, chemical, and
medical. In order for automatic autoclave to work effectively, it should remove
all the air in and around the object, which is to be sterilized. It forces the
steam to penetrate its surfaces. There are two methods with which an autoclave
removes the air and force in steam: by injecting steam into the autoclave
chamber that helps force the air to leave the chamber through the drain vent at
the bottom and by using a vacuum pump to remove air from the chamber. When the
autoclave reaches and maintains a temperature of 121A C for at least 30 minutes
it is most effective. When autoclave does steam sterilization it does in three
distinct phases; conditioning, exposure and drying.
In order to
disinfect and sterilize healthcare facilities, there is utmost need for
pressurized steam since it is the most trusted, dependable, non-toxic, and
inexpensive that helps kill microbes and spores in quick time. An automatic
autoclave quickly heats and penetrates fabrics and hence it is used in medical and
laboratory settings to sterilize equipment and waste. It does the sterilization

are two fundamental types of automatic autoclaves: the gravity displacement
autoclave and the high-speed pre-vacuum autoclave.
Cycles
of Automatic Autoclave
In general, there
are four standard cycles of autoclave: gravity, pre-vacuum, liquids, and flash.
In gravity cycle, steam displaces air in the chamber by gravity while air is
removed mechanically and then load through vacuum in pre-vacuum cycle. In
liquids cycle, there is a slower exhaust rate that minimizes boil-over. Flash
is a high temperature cycle for a short period of time.
