The Salem Starch and Sago Manufacture Service Industrial Co-operative Society Ltd.(SAGOSERVE) started in the year 1981 is the only Industrial Cooperative Society for marketing of Sago and Starch in India, functioning under the Administrative control of Industries and Commerce, Government of Tamil Nadu SAGOSERVE has been awarded the National Co-operative Excellence award 2010 by National Co-operative Development Corporation. SAGOSERVE is a nodal agency arranging for the marketing of starch and sago supplied by its registered members by conducting daily E-Auction. Since, the participant merchants in the daily E-Auction fix the rate of starch and sago, there is a possibility of rate fluctuation in the market.
