Nutlok fittings require no special tools for assembly. Nutlok fittings can be assembled to any standard male fitting. The self-locking mechanism is self-contained in the female fitting. Every Nutlok fitting has a visual torque indicator, which is not visible when the fitting is hand tightened, but, when fully torqued, the indicator is visible--providing a visual confirmation that the fitting has been torqued. This indicator provides the same visual indication of a torqued fitting now provided by safety wire.
