About Horizontal Float Valve
A horizontal float valve, also known as ballcock, is a compact, lightweight and high-performance machine used for filling the fluid storage tanks, automatically shutting off the fluid supply when reached to a pre-set level and for avoiding backflow or overflow. This valve is connected to a ball-shaped sealed float by a lever, mounted near the top of the fluid tank. It is directly connected to the incoming fluid supply which responds to the fluid level inside the tank.
This horizontal float valve is opened and closed by the lever, responding to the fluid level inside the tank. When fluid level rises to a pre-set level, the float rises and forces the valve to automatically close the fluid supply and vice versa. It is extensively used in water tanks, toilet tanks, industrial gasoline tanks, commercial water tank, etc. This valve can be made up of different materials, such as stainless steel, mild steel, brass, or carbon steel, making it an ideal choice.
