Black Bio-crude /Bio-oil/ Industrial Pyrolysis Oil

Pyrolysis oil, commonly known as bio-crude or bio-oil, is a synthetic fuel being researched as a petroleum substitute. It's made by heating dry biomass in a reactor without oxygen to around 500 degrees Celsius and then cooling it. Pyrolysis oil can be used for a variety of purposes, including boiler combustion, engine and turbine fueling, transportation fuel conversion, and as a renewable feedstock for chemicals and minerals. Pyrolysis is a method for converting organic molecules into a solid residue that contains ash and carbon, as well as minor amounts of liquid and gas. Extreme pyrolysis, on the other hand, produces carbon as a byproduct, which is referred to as carbonization. Pyrolysis is the process of heating an organic material, such as biomass, without oxygen. Biomass pyrolysis is often carried out at temperatures of 500A C or more, giving sufficient heat to deconstruct the strong biopolymers discussed before.
